Am I correct about these “scene kids”?
I have been puzzled for a very long time about the recent balloning of people dressing in the “indie” or “scene” style, because when I was about 16-19 I was one of very few people who had that particular style of dress, but when ditzy teenage girls and clueless fools jumped aboard I threw out those clothes. Well, after watching the “woodies” on MTV the other night I finally figured it out: MTV is the cause. They figure out what’s marketable and pitch it to the huge demographics, the 12-17 crowd. They also listen to terrible bands like All American Rejects, All Time Low, Paramore, and countless others. Those artists don’t actually deserve to have their names capitalized.
Does anyone agree with me about the MTV thing?

To the people I am talking about: Do you think you look unique, with your skinny jeans and shaggy hair and wayfarers and neon Nike’s, or do you understand you are just a sheep?
